One-day event

We are looking forward to joining staff at the Guildhall Museum Rochester for a one-day event on Thursday 28 July.

Come along from 10am to 4pm.

C·A·T archaeologists will be on hand to talk about our recent discoveries at the site of the new #InnovationParkMedway which is being constructed near Rochester Airport, supporting the development of up to 60,000 square metres of high value technology, advanced manufacturing, engineering and knowledge-intensive businesses.

Archaeologists do so much more than digging holes. Come and find out what we do.

From 11am Fancy trying your hand at drawing? This C·A·T Artist in Residence led workshop will support you to make a drawing or drawings of objects from the Guildhall collection.

Stress free and open to all.

1pm ‘Ask an archaeologist’. C·A·T archaeologists will be available to answer questions relating to recent discoveries, and archaeology in general. Found something interesting in your garden? Why not bring it in.

The archaeologists will be on hand all day if you are unable to make this session.

2pm Have a go at designing an Iron Age coin.

Plus,

Learn about the history (and prehistory) of the Medway area.
