Commercial Services

Canterbury Archaeological Trust has been assisting developers, architects, businesses and individuals with their heritage and archaeological requirements for more than 40 years. With offices in Canterbury and Dover, we have a wealth of knowledge and expertise covering the south-east of England and beyond. Whatever the nature of the heritage service required, we are able to provide help and guidance, from project inception to conclusion. And if the work forms part of the planning process, we can guide you through that, too.

Ideally with involvement from the beginning of your project, we can work collaboratively with you to develop individual solutions to historic environment issues. We are able to provide high quality and cost-effective services, delivered within a timetable that suits your requirements.

Canterbury Archaeological Trust is a Registered Organisation with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists. A CIfA Registered Organisation is part of a unique quality assurance scheme which provides a ‘kite mark’ of commitment to professional standards and competence.

By using a Registered Organisation, you can be sure we have the skill to deal with complex projects and will:

  • provide informed, reliable and impartial advice;

  • execute schemes of work appropriate to the circumstances, minimising uncertainty, delay and cost;

  • subscribe to codes of professional conduct and practice.

Canterbury Archaeological Trust works to achieve the highest level of Health and Safety compliance, displays a commitment to equality, diversity and equal opportunities throughout the organisation, and has recognised policies for environmental and quality management.  The Trust is a Constructionline Gold Member and Acclaim certified.

If you think we can help with your archaeological or heritage requirements, or you need advice getting through the planning process, please contact us.
