As an charity that focuses on education and outreach, we are always keen to inspire the next generation of archaeologists. Working with the Education Business Partnership Kent group, we can often be found at careers fairs at schools across Kent, providing advice and guidance to pupils who may be interested in a career in heritage.
We always take archaeological artefacts with us so that the students can handle genuine finds and learn more about what we do as archaeologists. So far this year, we have been to Goodwin Academy, Barton Court Grammar School, ISP School Teynham, Simon Langton Grammar and Fulston Manor School.
It is a fantastic opportunity for children to learn about career options they may not have considered before and we always find it to be a positive experience for all involved.
