A big thank you to all who travelled from far and wide and made it to our special book launch yesterday evening and what a wonderful evening it was. We were privileged to have presentations by two of CAT’s senior staff, James Holman and Jake Weekes, giving us an intriguing and intimate look into the archaeological work at The Lower Lines, Brompton, Kent, and the extensive work at Thanet Earth.
These powerful stories of farming, ritual , resilience, human endeavour and engineering allowed our attendees a small window into each of the projects that went on to inspire the latest books from Canterbury Archaeological Trust.
We celebrated the launch of both new printed editions of The Lower Lines and Farming, Everyday Life and Ritual, 6000 years of archaeology at Thanet Earth.
