Anglo-Saxon Kent: old and new discoveries

Keith Parfitt and Andrew Richardson will be speaking at the KAS fieldwork committee’s conference at the University of Kent on Saturday 31st October.  Other speakers are Ges Moody (St Augustine’s landing place); Dana Goodburn-Brown (The Meads, Sittingbourne); Gabor Thomas and Alex Knox (Lyminge) and Alison Taylor (St Peter’s cemetery, Thanet).  Andrew will be speaking about the wonderful Anglo-Saxon finds in the Society’s own collection and Keith about the settlement excavated at Church Whitfield on the Whitfield-Eastry by-pass and Buckland cemetery.
