AmphoraPart of an amphora found buried upside down in the clay floor of a Roman building. Amph means ‘two’ or double. What other words do you know beginning with amph? Originally the pot was imported from southern Spain full of olive oil. Buried in the floor, it may have been re-used as a Roman urinal.
